Steam Blasting

Steam Blasting

Steam blasting (aka hot water blasting) is a pressure washing technique for restoration and industrial cleaning applications.   A hot water pressure washer creates hot, pressurized water and accelerates water through a blast hose.  As the hot water exits the blast nozzle and impacts the target, it cleans residue and debris from the surface without damaging the substrate.

Hot water pressure washers heat water up to 200°F and create blast pressures up to 5,000 psi.  These operating conditions are ideal for removing oil and grease from hard surfaces.

Benefits

Steam blasting is a common and effective industrial cleaning method and removes a wide variety of materials from surfaces.

A cost effective solution, steam blasting can produce shorter down times for cleaning and maintenance activities and is less abrasive compared to abrasive blast media.

Applications

Manufacturing, food processing, chemical, and petrochemical facilities use steam blasting to clean the following:

  • Tanks
  • Pits
  • Equipment
  • Booths
  • Walls
  • Floors
  • Building Exteriors
  • Concrete Surfaces.
